DavidThank you.
JeanneBefore we dive in, how are you feeling?
DavidFeeling great, but I'm better every day.
JeanneThat's awesome. I'm so excited to have you on the show. And uh, we're gonna dive in first, and I want to ask you some questions, okay? Is that good with you?
DavidSure.
JeanneOkay, let's get started. You shared that you grew up as an orphan in a small West African village, and somehow that journey led you to becoming a doctor in America. How did that transformation unfold? Please tell us.
DavidOkay. When I was uh a little boy at the age of seven, I was watching a movie. Then on the screen, Dr. Sharma transformed female ladies, women at the age of uh 100, you know, when we are when we are a kid, everybody at the age of 30 or you think they are old. So I what I saw that he was transforming women at the age of 100 to become a young, radiant ladies. So when I saw that movie, I said, I want to be like Dr. Sharma. And 27 years later, I found myself in New York City receiving my Doctor of Medicine degree. So this is what happened. Just the transformation and the mindset that when we believe to do something and we are focused and you have that aim, things become possible.
JeanneI'm sure there were a lot of steps in there though that's right. That led you to that.
DavidSo that's right.
JeanneI know you're gonna tell us as we go along.
DavidYes, yes.
JeanneThere's a growing conversation about people learning to heal themselves, especially with the work of Dr. Joe Dispenza and others. This is some of the information that I've gleaned from you. So, what do you see as the future of medicine when traditional care meets this kind of inner healing?
DavidIt's a real thing because people don't realize that your mind is more powerful than any medication out there. See, we have as a Medicare doctor, I can tell my your client and people out there that this theory of uh mind can heal, it's not just a theory, but when we believe this mind can transform and heal every part of your system. So whatever is going on out there is a real deal. When the mind, when you have an energy, energy and focused on yourself, transformation takes place. So majority of the time, due to stress, blockages, and other things which happen to us, it mimic as a physical symptom in us. So when you can think and you can breathe and get this system together, you thrive. You see, healing comes to you instead of you going through certain ways to get yourself healed, you thrive, and healing just don't wait, but it works through you because everything is an energy, everything is an energy, and I can make an example that um resonance, like when you have a piano in a room and you hit the G key, and you have a string instrument in that vicinity, that like a guitar, that guitar will also resonate, will vibrate the same G key that you hit on the piano.
JeanneI should have been staging this when I got a rolling keyboard over here and I got a bass guitar over there in that corner that I play. So I wish I'd known that. What do you mean? I don't get it. Uh, how do you it's electric, so how do I make that resonate?
DavidOnce the attune, you see, everything in this universe is a resonance, it's a vibration. So even to do healing, spiritual healing, quantum healing, recu healing, whatever you, the energy level have to be the same. And once you are on the same vibrational level, then healing is taking place. But unless we are on that level, nothing. And to be on that level is a basic thing of breath. You take a deep breath and you should be able to be on the same level. And once you're on the same level, you could see that transformation is taking place. Because on quantum hearing, for instance, see when you and I stand by a stove, you can put your hand on the high stove and it will burn you. And I stand beside you, I won't feel it. But irrespective to how far you are in this world, because we are one accord, I could stretch my hand and be on the same level, and you get healed instantaneously. This is the essence.
JeanneThat's exciting to think about. I'd like to see that happen. I can't even fathom that that could happen. Wow.
DavidYes. I have a couple of uh testimonies about this thing happening. People sometimes they did not believe. So they say, Oh, when you started, I I never thought I was I was going to get better, and they got better.
JeanneWow. Well, you have a calming voice anyway, and it's kind of like that would help soothe somebody and get them to heal. I don't know. But walk me back because we switched. We went from you being a young boy watching a movie and wanting to be a doctor, and then we started talking about this mind healing or inner healing. Okay. There's so many steps in between there that you took. That's true. I mean, how did you go from I want to be a doctor and then getting that discipline and then getting this spiritual guide to say that you can also bring in this inner healing? That's a lot of steps that we skip.
DavidThat's a lot of steps. So with the doctorate aspect, um, when I saw Dr. Sharma, and I said, I want to be like Dr. Sharma every day. Dr. Sharma not only he had a the formula in a barrel, the movie is longer than what. He had a formula, and it's a green formula, and once he gave it to the woman, and they go through a process, it's something like a uh it was like a CAT Scan, or I, you know, I didn't, I was young, I didn't know the name, but I know they go you put them through a tunnel. It's like um a cascade that they go through, and by the time they come up on the other side, and then he breaks whatever he put on them, they become vibrant. I mean, beautiful women. And I said, wow. So they have some bad guys who wanted to get the formula from Dr. Sharma, and they were using bulldozer and trying to get the formula from him. And apparently they tried, and once they wanted to get him, the barrel fell. And the bulldozer passed on that on the barrel and broke. So they never had the opportunity to get the formula from Dr. Sharma. Then I was going to go to a river side to fetch water because our place there was no random water. You have to go to the river to with a bucket to get some water. And then once I was going, I found something, money on the floor, on the ground, and I decided I'm going to use this money to build something like Dr. Sharma. I gave it to my mom. I gave it to my mom. And when I finished high school, I left the village, uh, middle school. I left the village and came to the city, Accra. That is when I got involved. I intended to come to the United States. I became part of the Voice of America and went to the embassy all the time to make sure that I knew what the US was. And the only city that I knew was New York. That when I was in Ghana, I said, I'm going to go to New York. And I read everything about New York City. I learned the money, the money, the dime, nickels, and all those currencies, the quarters, I got to learn all those things. But I had the opportunity to be with the uh American Embassy, The Voice of America, where you get, or they have something like information service. And that's how I was able to go through the process and find a school with the help of the embassy to come to New York. Now, when I was coming, because I knew New York City, how the taxi driver's charges and sometimes they try to rip you off and whatnot. So when I got to JFK, I did not take a taxi. I took a bus from JFK to downtown Manhattan, 48th Street, Hotel Empire. And when I got to Hotel Empire on 8th Avenue, I have read and I knew all the roadmap in New York City. So I dragged my bag to that Hotel Empire on 59th Street on uh Broadway. So that's how I knew the city.
JeanneOkay. That's ingenious. That's a good way to do it. I hadn't I wouldn't even suspect that, but I bet the bus ride knowing New York was pretty long. Yes, yes. Even though it probably wasn't that many miles.
DavidYeah, yes.
JeanneThat's exciting. So you that's where you got Lynn landed in New York, and then uh from there you started building up your education and you worked. I know you worked in a lot of different places.
DavidMy first job in New York City was a dishwasher at 277 Park Avenue. And then whilst I was going to school, I was studying at the same time.
JeanneOkay. You went to school doing dishwashing, and what did uh what did you say you just did when you were in school?
DavidUh during the dishwashing, I was uh doing medical lab tech.
JeanneOh, medical lab tech, okay.
DavidYeah, I did medical lab technology and at uh Bronx Community College. Then after that I pursued the physician assistant program. Then I said, if I'm going to be a physician assistant, I'm going to be a doctor. That's when I took the premier and became that.
JeanneYeah, so that is something that not everybody is cut out to do. I mean, nobody has that fortitude or that determination like you had to get there. So I have another question. So that helps set the stage for you know you coming over, watching the movie. I guess Dr. Sharma was fictional. He wasn't a real doctor, right?
DavidYeah, it was a it was a fictional movie.
JeanneYeah, because I was like thinking if he's making all these women go out and turn beautiful with this bottle of it, like I hope he's still alive.
DavidI mean, this man will give them this medicine, and that's what science have been. I love the science and also love the the spiritual aspect. And even when I was a kid, I grew, I planted mango and avocado. Mango and avocado seed together. And when the tree was growing, they fused. It became one tree. So when they were bearing fruit, one side of the branches were avocado and the other side was a mango. But I didn't know. So recently, about 2001, when there was a cloning and whatnot, I didn't know what it was. I said, I did something like this when I was a baby, but it was nothing.
JeanneYeah, yeah. You didn't know. But that movie sparked something into in you, and then you started driving it to learn more and more and more and doing different things. So I have another question because I want to talk a little bit about your next, you know, like how you are taking science and melding them together. So you said something really powerful, like with cutting edge science and cutting edge spiritual connection meet, true transformation can take place. Can you help us understand what that means and what it looks like in like a person like me, my life?
DavidThat's correct. Because many of the times, because I'm a scientist and also believe in the spiritual aspect, there are some school of thought, there are some people who when they've been diagnosed of certain diseases or incurable diseases, and they don't want to go through the process. And they come to me and say, Oh, I'm healed. But then I tell them quantum healing does not take away the medical science. So when I work with somebody, advise somebody to do a work in the quantum expert, I tell them to follow their science, follow the doctors, because quantum healing does not replace medicine, it amplifies it. So things work faster. It works faster because uh when I was doing my rotation, this is just uh a side of the story, when I was doing my rotation, during my surgical rotation, we had a patient. This patient had been on the floor for about three months, couldn't speak, because I was part of the surgical team. And anytime we go, you know, we do our physical exam, we do all the neurotexts and whatnot, and we write, oh, patient cannot speak, patient cannot speak. And one time, one Sunday, I went to minister in the church, and when I was coming, I was supposed to work in that afternoon. And when I was coming, I heard a voice that when you go to that floor, you need to get somebody who believed in prayer or had any connection with the prayer and pray with that man. So I called uh the head nurse, her name was Aline. So I asked Aline, Aline can you come and pray with me for about this man? And two of us, we stood by the bedside, and I prayed for this man. And the man for three months who could not speak opened his mouth and said, You are an angel. And this thing established the whole hospital. So people were coming to me, are you the Messiah? I said, No, I'm not the Messiah, I'm just a man that God is working through me. So these are some of the things that had happened. And I have seen a man who was supposed to be having an amputation. His name is Moreno. He was scheduled. I saw him on Saturday, and on Wednesday, he was supposed to have the surgery. And after encounter with him, and I told him, let's see what will happen. I mean, he didn't have a circulation in the left leg and everything was scheduled for the leg to be amputated. But luckily, and blessed him, when he got to the hospital on that Wednesday before the surgery was going to take place, they have to do another examination, you know, pre-pre-op exam. And then when they did the pre-op exam, the doctor found out that there was a circulation blood moving into that leg. So they have to do a Doppler study to make sure that what they were seeing was correct.
JeanneOh, so he did not get amputated?
DavidNo, he didn't know. So the doctor, after they did that, he came back, he said, Mareno, I have a good news for you. You're not going to need amputation, but let's see, wait and see. And after this, now this man has his leg. That's wonderful. But this is the power that I when I say I believe in science and I believe in the spiritual aspect. Because what happened, there are so many people who die unnecessary because they don't want to do what their doctors are telling them. But I always encourage them to use that system that you have, and then with a spiritual aspect, do it when they merge.
JeanneWell, you're the real deal because you're a doctor of medicine and you're a doctor of ministry. So you're merging the two, and that's that makes you the real deal. So when you're talking to somebody about we're going to pray on your that your leg won't be amputated, you're also coming at it from a medical perspective that there is a possibility that something can change in there. Just something that not everybody can do. So I think that's powerful. That's very powerful. I have one more question, then we want to go to our two truths and a lie. But let me ask you this. Your work is around the world, especially in Africa, because that's where your background is and that's where you came from. So can you share a little about the orphanage that you support in Kenya and the charitable work your ministry does in India, the Dominican Republic, Tanzania, and uh across Africa?
DavidSo in Kenya, we there's a we I support an orphanage over there. And the last time I was there, I I examine most of the children. All of them, you know, they have to form a line. I have my doctor's stuff. I used to be part of the doctors without borders. I work with a volunteer that said because I love volunteering. Because I think I see myself as a servant. We are here to serve. So other in the in the ministry or in the field of uh medicine, we are all here to serve. And this is what every fiber of my being, every fiber of my being, I want to find people better the way that I saw them. So we help them to buy school, school uniforms, textbooks, and uh other needs that they have. They are both girls and boys. So sometimes we we send uh essential things to them. Uh that's what happened. In um in Tanzania, for instance, uh, we build uh when I found that group, they were having service under the tree. So in 2020, during the coronavirus, that's what we did. That we built a church so that they could be there. Because when I saw them under the tree, I said, we can do something better than this. So at least that will give them the foundation of uh knowing the self-love and love your neighbor as yourself and be able to teach them spiritual growth. And uh in India we have a group that uh even every Christmas this this year, December, we're going to send blankets because we got some people there that it get cold and and they need blankets to cover themselves. So these are some of the work that we've been doing in Africa.
JeanneThat's phenomenal. I hear a lot of times that there's so much need over there. I just at least you're coming from there, so you know where the need is, you know how to go there and do that. But somebody like me just doesn't know. So we can support you and help you because you can identify those needs. That's just a wonderful mission, and I I really love hearing about it. So I am so glad we've gotten through some of the questions. There's so much more I'd love to talk to you about, but right now we have covered enough profound ground, if I may say, for tonight, and we're gonna go to something more, you know, light. So we're gonna shift into and bring our ship back to shore. It's time for two truths and a lie. So you've sent over three story headlines ahead of time, and we're gonna go over those, and I'm gonna be able to guess which one I think is the lie. Thank you to our sponsors. So, number one story. The red snake. So you said as a young boy, a dream showed Dr. Dave a healing method that saved a boy dying from a poisonous snake bite. Don't say anything. Don't tell me if it's true or not.
DavidOkay.
JeanneThat's the first one. The number two story, the emergency. That's your headline. Dr. Dave revived a stranger turning blue on his jogging path. An EMT said she wouldn't have survived without him. All right. Going on to number three, the secret note. During a chance conversation with a stranger in the airport, the stranger later wrote Dr. Dave to say his caring words stopped him from ending his life. All right, Dr. Dave, I'm gonna guess. I'm gonna guess that the one that's a lie is number one. But I don't know. You know, that's just my thoughts. And the reason why I'm saying that is because you dreamed something and developed a healing medication. So I don't know. That wouldn't I don't know. Can you do that? Maybe. Anyway, you tell us. Start telling us about the stories, and don't tell us what's true or lie until we get to through all three.
DavidNumber one, I was eight years old in the fifth grade, and I was uh asleep, and I heard a scream in my dream, and I woke up. That dream woke me up. It was a bad dream, like a nightmare. The dream was I saw one of the students from you know in the same grade that he'd been beaten by a poisonous snake. So the next day when I went to school, I told the class, the whole class, and the teacher that last night when I was uh when I had a dream, Abato, the name of the student is Abato, Abato was bitten by a snake. So they all started laughing. They started laughing at me like a making a mockery out of me. So and during the recess in the afternoon, we went to the the soccer field back of the school, and by 3 p.m. we heard a loud scream. Somebody yelling, they said, Abato have been bitten by a snake.
JeanneOh no.
DavidSo now there's a hospital at a clinic on top, about uh maybe half a mile from the school. So they took Aba to there. And because it was uh a poisonous snake, you have to keep him. Now it became a talk of the town. Like yesterday, Dave dreamt and then uh about this in the village, you know how it goes. Then the next night when I fell asleep, I saw something like a hand picking some leaves, and they were pounding it with a stone like a mortar, making a paste out of that. They mixed it with water, pounded, and then they put it on uh Abato's uh leg that was where he was bitten by a snake. And I woke up, I said, Oh, and I went back to school and I told the teacher that last night I saw this is the dream that I saw that this leaf is called Nymph Tree, it has a yellow flowers and whatnot, and I saw a hand which was pounding, and they made a paste out of it and put it on Abato's leg. And so maybe I don't know. So the teacher said, Well, yeah, Abato uh the teacher said, Let's give it a try because he is in an agony, nothing is working. So they knew because it's uh it's part of the leaves, the tree that grows in the air. It wasn't a scarce leaves you can find. So they did it, they put it on Abato's leg, and um behold, in two days, three days, the swelling subsided, and Abato got better in three days. That's the story.
JeanneAll right, so that's an extraordinary story. I I still stick to that one's not true. I don't know. Go to the next one with emergency. You were out jogging, and what happened?
DavidOne early morning, I was uh usually I do five miles a day every morning.
JeanneStill, you still are doing that? You've done it every day for how long?
DavidYeah, yeah. Today I I I even did it today. I never stopped. Sometimes people tell me you need to stop, you can, you need, but you know, I I know my body. So sometimes when I feel like I'm not going, I put in two days, I don't go, but it's not more than three days. I something that if I don't do that, it looks like I haven't I'm missing something. When I'm going and I'm doing my jogging, I I can ruminate and meditate, I see things and come down. So it's a nice uh jog. It's five miles. It's two miles, two and a half to go and two and two and a half to come. So it's five miles total. So that's what I do. That's my routine. And the usually when I go, I see I meet uh three ladies. They they also walk, they walk in the morning. So I it's a routine, I see them. And once I went, coming back, I saw that they have uh one of the ladies who were on the floor, they crouched over her, and then they asked me if I have a cell phone to call emergency because uh their friend is in uh serious his turning. So I look at her and she was turning blue. So because of my uh profession, what I've said is so I started CPL and mouth-to-math uh recitation. And so as she was she grasped for air when she was getting better, she was trying to get up, and the ambulance came and she took a deep breath, sat down. So the ambulance took over, and they told me.
JeanneBut you had given her CPR and mouth to mouth?
DavidYeah, I did give her CPR mouth-to-mouth situation. Yeah, that's what I did. So they they when the ambulance came, he said, Good job, fellow. She couldn't have done this without you. You know, she almost uh, if you have not done this, good job, fellow. I don't think he would have made it without you. So they took over, they took the lady to the hospital.
JeanneIt's a good thing that you were there for sure.
DavidThat's right.
JeanneYeah, I can kind of believe that one after all the things you've told us about yourself. I can kind of believe that one. So we're still waiting. And number three, let's go to the secret note because this one, this one sounds very interesting. You were in an airport.
DavidYeah, the secret note. I was uh sitting at a crowded airport waiting in the waiting room. Then an announcement came. The announcement came over a loudspeaker that our flight had been delayed for two hours due to a ranging storm. And I began speaking to a traveler close to me, his name is Williams. And when the time was about to apart for we to depart, I told uh William if we can hold hands and pray. So we prayed, and uh he went his way, took his flight, I took my flight. And the next day I received an email from Williams with an attachment. Thanking me, he said, uh I thank you, thank you for the words of encouragement. You saved my life. This was a suicide note. I was on the urge of committing suicide. So I thank you. You are my angel. This is why that note is from William.
JeanneWow, you've been an angel a lot of times. That's a wonderful thing. So this person in the airport, so I guess you exchanged emails and everything.
DavidYeah, yeah, we exchanged contact.
JeanneOkay. Yeah, so that is a story I've never heard before.
unknownOkay.
JeanneAll right. So now we're getting to the part where you have to tell us. Did I get it right or did I get it wrong? Which one is the lie?
DavidUh I have to tell you now.
JeanneYeah, you don't want to tell.
DavidWhich one did you say is right? I said number one was a lie. Number one, number one is not a lie, it's a true story.
JeanneOh, okay.
DavidYeah. Number one is it is a true story.
JeanneHow about number two?
DavidNumber two is the uh that's the emergency. The emergency is a lie.
JeanneWhat you didn't rescue somebody?
DavidNope.
JeanneOh. Well, see, that would go along with who you are. You're a doctor, you're a jogger.
DavidThat's what it is. That's what I said.
JeanneWell, you think it's funny.
DavidDon't change the food fooling me.
JeanneOkay. Yeah. And the secret, no, well, I'm glad to know that that was a true story and that you have actually saved this person's life. That's wonderful.
DavidThat was a true story, and and uh, we've been friends since. And that uh when I shared this testimony in the podium, people were like, and I said yes, I showed them this is it. So what happened is we see we do not meet by coincidence. Anything that falls on our way is uh a time either for we to do something or is showing us, you see, we are not here to solve the world problem, right? We are here to embed ourselves, yeah.
JeanneWe're here to connect with each other and take care of each other and serve each other.
DavidRight. I really feel that's true. We are here to emerge ourselves in a mystery. So when you involve in a mystery, you involve in a thing, that's when you see that this world, there's a lot of things that's going on. But you need to get involved in for you to know exactly what is going on. Sometimes people do not believe, and I tell them, you see, the ocean, the water, the sea, or wherever you go, you see it, it is there. Either you believe it or not, it's the ocean is there. But when for you to get wet, you need to immerse yourself in it. Once you immerge yourself, that is where you get wet. This is the essence of the spirituality.
JeanneWell, we've got to wrap up. We're running out of time, but um I want to let folks know how they can get in touch with you. Because after listening to Dr. Dave, I'm sure you got many people that are interested in reaching out. So here is the contact information from Dr. Dave. You have a beautiful quote here that goes back all the way to when you when you had the determination to become a doctor. Success equals belief times bold action. Do you want to say anything about that? I think it's self-explanatory, but it's a wonderful, powerful statement.
DavidYeah, success equals belief times bold action. See, when you are starting a business and you said, I'm a failure, I'm going to fail, you failed already. You have to see it, you have to project it, you have to believe in every core of your being, the fiber of your being, that you are successful. It's not just a mere affirmation, but you've got to believe it. And if you don't take action and only have to believe, nothing is taking place. But when you multiply, you that's the what when you you merge those in multiplication, then you can see a quantum leap. So my final quotation for you is where there is determination, failure cannot dismantle the flag of success. So you are not a failure, you are a success, and I believe in you, and you will be at the top of the mountain. And I want you to shine like a rainbow in the sky.
